AT Sem 6 had a final exhibition to show our works that we had done in Limkokwing in these 3 years. Many presentation panels were nailed onto the exhibition panels and model were put on the table. It was quite successful that around 30 visitors went to see our exhibition. Thanks for the visitors to come.

AT Sem 6 Last Presentation

AT Sem 6 August 2009 had the last design presentation on 20 November 2009 in Limkokwing, Kuching. We had a tough days before today to impress everyone. We did Buntal-Bako Visitor Centre which was a project associated with Malaysian Nature Society. We had panels, who are our ex Limkokwing Student (Miss Sharon), Limkokwing lecturer (Mr Alan), local Kuching architects (Mr Philip Chang, Miss Peggy, Mr Tay) and also architects from Hong Kong - I think so (Mr. Jeffrey and Miss Tina). All of us had done a pretty good job.

PaintBall War in Kuching

Today, 9 of us went to Matang to have a Paintball War. It was tiring but we got a lot of fun. The price for it was reasonable too. 500 Bullets only cost for RM70. We had several matches in the Paintball Battlefield. There were people shouting around and also the sound from the guns. It was extremely exciting.

Swinburne Prom Night 2009

Swinburne Prom Night '09 was held on the 27 of September at Four Point Hotel. It was quite fun. There were many performance performed by the students from swinburne. There were violin and piano duet, poppin dance and singing. Besides, there were programmes organized by the Sarawak Swinburne Student Council '09(SSSC). There were Hair Cutting Show by Ray's Salon, singing show by famous Kuching singer 培傑, best mask competition and Selection of Prom Queen and King of tonight. The night was full of joyfulness and happiness as the programmes were very interesting. It was quite an unforgettable night.

Santubong & Raya Trip

Last Sunday, I went to Santubong with some of my friends to have a 2 days 1 night trip. The trip was quite relaxing as there were not much things to do. We had most of our time swimming, staying in room and sleeping. On the early dawn of Monday, some of us went to Buntal to have a look on the shorebirds. There were a lot of birds that morning I managed to take some photos too. It was a wonderful although it was an unplanned trip.

Azie's birthday at Matang Family Park and a trip to Kampung Telaga Air

Last Wednesday, our class has a class trip to Matang Family Park to celebrate Azie's Birthday and have some BBQ there. We have a great time there BBQ, eating and swimming in the cold water. There is a amazing incident happened there. As Lau is walking towards the BBQ place, I shouted at him that there are durians falling down at that spot. I asked him to be careful but he didn't hear what I said. So, he walked towards the spot and suddenly I heard something falling from the tree. The branches and leaves are shaking. Lau faster walked aside and that action saved his life. A round big durian fell from the tree. It was quite a coincidence.

After eating, we had our time in the cold pool and had a shower. After that, we packed our things and decided to go to Kampung Telaga Air for a scenery view. It was wonderful as the Kampung changed a lot. There was a new built jetty and a new waterfront at the edge of the land.

Working Tomorrow

Tomorrow I’m going to work in an architect firm to help to design a restaurant layout for a new opening restaurant at Jalan Song. I’m quite happy to help because I can get some working experience and my design can be reality in the future.

Julie, Lau, Nevin and I work as a team for this project. We went to have some site visits to gain some information for designing. It is quite challenging to design the layout as the space is quite circular and there are many criteria to follow on.

Me and Lai's Sarawak & Brunei trip.....

On 20th June, i went for a great fun in Bintulu. I had a happy time everyday accompanied by Lai and her family. I had 6 meals everyday that i couldn't take my breath to digest the food.

On 26th June, I went to Brunei with her family. We passed by Miri and stopped over for lunch and shopping. We continued our journey to Brunei and we reached there by 6pm. We contacted Lai's uncle, who is staying in Brunei. We couldn't find our way there so we had to call him to bring us there. We settled down at her uncle's house and we went for dinner at Escapade Sushi House. After dinner, we went for shopping at the nearby shopping complex. Then, we still have a little tour to the Jelutong Park and Empire Hotel (6-star hotel). We went back to sleep after that as we are all very tired after a whole day activities. The next day, we drove around Brunei sight-seeing. We took a boat trip to Kampong Air and it was quite fun. After that, we went to Brunei Museum to have a look. The entrance was free of charge. The museum showed the local culture and customs of the people in Brunei, including the local habitat. We left the museum after that and we went for lunch at I-Lotus near Gadong in Brunei. We had a quick lunch and say farewell to Lai's uncle and his family. We started our journey back to Bintulu and it took about 5 hours.

In Bintulu, I woke up early in the morning as usual. Sometimes, I went to the market to help sell vegetable. We had our breakfast after work. When necessary, we had to go to the supermarket to buy some groceries. I had a wonderful and enjoyable holiday in Bintulu.

On 3rd of July, I went to sibu again with Lai and her parents. We went shopping at SanYang building and I met Albert there. He brought us to have a little snack at Chung Hua road. After that, he brought us to Delta Mall for shopping again. We walked around for about an hour and we went to find Eddie's Father around that area. At night, we had our dinner with my sister. The next day, we had to get up early to have our breakfast at the Sibu market and we had to go to fetch Lai's sister, ah Chin. Ah Chin had her teeth checkup and we went for shopping again. After having our lunch, we start our car back to Bintulu.

Ang Cheng Ho's House for Measured Drawings

Last Saturday, i went to do measured drawings at Mr. Ang Cheng Ho's house. The house is a 50 years old house and Mr. Ang wanna do some renovation on the house but still conserve the heritage value. The architect firm that is in charged of this project is Arkho Architect.

We do our measured drawing from 8 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon. Lau, Julie and I managed to take down all the measurement on time as the house is not very complicated. 3 of us are divided into 3 groups and each of us are assisted with a small kid. I quite enjoy doing the measured drawings and I gained a lot of experience there.

Woah!!! Starbucks in Jalan Song....

Tonight i had went to Starbucks, Jalan Song to have a sketch on the interior space with Lau and Kenny. The interior is quite nice with a very high ceiling. The interior is very cold as there are three air conditioner blowing from the ceiling.

I had ordered a cup of Chocolate Chips Frappucino that worthed RM18.... Wah... But it is quite worth it...

Taib Mahmud's Wife's (Madam Laila) Funeral

On 29th April 2009, Taib Mahmud's Wife, Madam Laila, had passed away in her residence at 3.40pm. She is 68. Family sources said Laila, Sarawak’s First Lady who was born in Poland, had battled cancer for the past few months.

KL April Trip....

After going Singapore, I went to KL from 7th of April to 12th of April to meet my girlfriend and to play. We did not go anywhere at the 1st day. All the programs started on the 2nd day. We went to Mid Valley for shopping the whole day. We still had a great dinner at Chilis Restaurant. It was a nice and full dinner with the western food. After that, we went to watch Fast & Furious at Golden Screen Cinema. Then we went to buy some food for tomorrow's trip to Genting. 3rd Day, we went to Genting. We had our breakfast in McD at KL Central. Then, we go to Genting by Bus. We reached there then we checked-in our room. At night, we had our dinner at Burger King. After that, we walked around the shopping place. Then, we went back to our room. 4th Day, we had our breakfast at First World Cafe and we walked around shopping again. In the afternoon, we packed our bag and left Genting back to KL. At night, we still went to eat Steamboat. 5th Day, we went to Red Box to have a 2 hour karaoke and lunch. After that, we went for shopping in Sunway pyramid. At night, we still have dinner at Sushi Zanmai. A very nice meal we had. HAHA.... 6th Day, I had to go back to Kuching. It was a sad day but i look forward to Bintulu.

AT Sem 5 Singapore Trip.....

From 2nd April to 7th April, I went to Singapore with my whole class for site visit. 20 of us including our lecturer, Miss Chai, went for this trip.

1st Day
We departed from Kuching International Airport at 5.30pm. When we reach Singapore, it was already 7 something at night. We sat a free bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 to go to the MRT station to our accomodation place. We wait for Roderick as he was coming with the next plane because he could not check-in on time. When all of us had grouped together in Terminal 2, we started our journey to our accomodation place at Chinatown. We lived in the People's Park Complex. We were all shocked when we saw the size and the condition of the room we were living. It was quite a shocking. After that, we went down for dinner at the hawker stall near our accomodation named 'Thousand Taste'. Then, some of us went to Clarke Quay to play. That night we play till quite late in the club named 'Arena'.

2nd Day
We had our breakfast at Chinatown. After that, we took the MRT to Lassale College. It was a design college with a very fascinating building structure. After that, we went to Mustapha Shopping Complex which is a 24 hours shopping complex. We had our lunch then we went to National Library. It was a very big library. The library is 10+ storey high with different functions on different floors. There were also a courtyard on some of the floors. Students use to take their breath or relax after studying in the library. Then, we went to National Museum. It was a heritage building that was extended with glasses which wont spoil the original look of the heritage building. We could see many thing about thing about the cultural and delicacies of Singapore. We also went to CHIMES which used to be a church but now converted into a dining place. At night, some of my friends and I went to Geylang for a walk. It was quite a shocking place as there are many 'Girls' all around the place. We still go to the Thailand pub for a drink. It was quite a special pub as u can pay RM20 for something... HAHA....

3rd Day
Like the day before, we had our breakfast at Thousand Taste. After that, we went to St. Mary Church by bus and MRT. St. Mary Church is a catholic church. The interior is very holy with the skylight on the ceiling. The sunlight shine inside the interior give a very holy feel and it give natural lightings too. After the visit, we went for shopping at Orchard Road. At night, we still went to Esplanade for a night visit. There was a small concert near the entrance and there was a small shopping mall inside selling cultural and exhibition work. There was a courtyard on the top floor with a very great view to the Marlion Statue. After that, we still went to a pub named 'PowerHouse' near VivoCity. That club had a very fascinating interior and space. There are different level of floor inside which divide the space to drinking place, dancing place, DJ stage and bar seats. It was quite fun that night as it was a saturday night.

4th Day
We went to Bugis Junction for shopping and we had our lunch at KFC there. The Chicken does not taste better than KFC in Kuching but the burger taste good. We walked there for the whole afternoon. In the evening, we went to VivoCity for site visit again. The facade of VivoCity is full of organic shape concrete cladding which create a corridor between the concrete cladding and the building. The top floor of Vivocity is a big courtyard. There are small shallow pool, auditorium and viewing place at the courtyard. The view is very nice because the view is towards the Sentosa Island. At night, we still went to Clarke Quay again for site visit. It is 4 shophouses with street between the shophouses. The street is a mall with a very designed roof on top. The mall is air-conditioned and there are many pubs inside.

Today is a shopping day. We shop for the whole day at Bugis Junction and Bugis Street and we bought many things there. At night, we still went to Merlion statue at Raffles Place to take some night view photos of Singapore. After that, we went to Hougang to find other friends. When we were in the MRT, we met some guys wanted to find fight from us i think because we laugh too loud i think. But nothing happen in the end. We met our friend then we go Geylang for a last view there.

Im going for a singapore trip with my coursemate n lecturer for a site visit. 20 of us are going to this trip. We go from 2nd of April to 7th of April. Then me and some of my friends will go to KL. I will be back to Kuching on the 12th of April. I hope the trip will be a great trip. YEAH!!!!

My group's model has participated in the Building Trade Show (BTS) under the Sarawak Heritage Society's booth. We moved our model from our school to the Permata Carpark on a Hilux. Saiful and I have to sit at the back of the Hilux to take care of our model.

My friends, Kinz and Lau, and I plan to follow the LKW Cyberjaya students for a Semenggok trip today. This morning, I received Lau's message that only 3 of us from LKW Kuching Campus will follow the trip. We were undecided whether to join them or not. Finally, we decided to follow them. When we reached there, it was already 10 o'clock and we missed the feeding time. The guard told us that no point for us to go in because we might not see anything as the feeding time was over and the 'orang utans' had gone back to their resting places.

We changed our plan to visit the Borneo Highland Resort. Unfortunately, we could not go up to Borneo Highland because currently it was not the flowering season. Futhermore, we also did not book for our entrance. We talked to the guard and the guard suggested to us to go to the Hot Spring instead. Since we haven't been to the Hot Spring so we decided to go.

Due to the poor road sign, we could not find the place. We have no choice but to ask the local people around there. Eventually with the directions and insturctions given by the local people, we managed to reach our destination. We couldn't believe that there was a Hot Spring because we only saw a river. However, we were curious to find the Hot Spring. We saw a group of people in a pond beside the river. To confirm that the water is hot, we also joined them inside the pond.

We played there for half an hour and we went for our lunch nearby. After that, we went home because we were already tired...

Waterfront Trip

I had gone for a walk on the Waterfront of Kuching. It is located along the Sarawak river. I went with my coursemate and some students from Limkokwing Cyberjaya campus. The architect of the Waterfront project, Mr. Philip, give us a talk about how the Waterfront was done and some about the design of the Waterfront. The Waterfront started building in the year 1991 and was completed in year 1993. It took 2 and a half years to be completed.

Standardize Camp on 27 Feb. - 1 Mar.

I have gone to Standardize Camp from 27th February to 1st March to pass my King's Scout. It is the last badge and the highest award for a Senior Scout. It was quite tiring but fun. This camp was joined by 23 scouts who come from 5 different schools and King's Scout's Training Team too. There were scouts from SMK Kuching High, SMK Green Road, SMK Bandar No.1, SMK Stampin and from SMK Tung Hua, Sibu too. The Training Team were Mdm. Valarie, Mr Stephen, Mr. Iu, Mr. John Lim, Mr. Joesph Tan, Mr. Ng Ah Luke, Mr. Sabeli and Mr. Ong (from Sibu). It was quite a good experience. There were activities like Theory Test, First Aid Test, Marching Test, Tongkat Test, Compass & Mapping Test and others.

Now im still waiting the result whether i have passed my King's Scout or not.... I think that mostly i passed oledi.... YEAH....

Chinese New Year was here. Before the day of chinese new year, my family, relatives and I had a reunion dinner at my house. Many food were served and they were delicious. After that, i went to neng house for chinese new year COUNTDOWN. We did buy some fire crackers and we managed to put when the time showed 0000. It was quite fun. We stayed at ah neng's house for some activities and we went to airport for out supper. On our way to airport, the air was full of smoke that i hardly drive. I ate a set of McChicken there and i was quite full. Then, we went home to sleep. I slept very nicely this night because i changed my bed sheet to silk bed sheet which my father bought from China. It was quite cooling sleeping on it.

Yesterday i went to JPJ with my father and i changed my P license to a permanent license... i no nit to put P sign in my car lo... Hooray.... It was quite easy to change. Just nit to line up and pay the money. Renew 1 year was RM30 and i renewed 5 year which were totaly RM150.

My P license really funny... no one believe it i think... haha... it is kinda baby face.. haha...

Today morning i wake up quite early and i went to work with my father. I help my father to measure the St. Teresa Kindergarden School. We spend about 1 hour measuring the whole building. It was quite easy because it was squarish and small.

New Year 2009 Celebration

I celebrated my 2009 new year countdown at core with my friends last night. It was crowded inside core that i din even wanted to walk in. It was just like sauna and you sure would sweat. I din drink anything that night because im sick but it was quite an enjoyable night.

On new year night, my family and all our relatives gathered at uncle moses' house for dinner. The dinner was cooked by uncle moses' wife (who is a japanese). She cooked many japanese food for us to eat and they were delicious. After dinner, we took some family photos too as memory. We still met uncle moses' sons (named Nicholas (Mamoru) and another one named Kosei).

That's all for the 1st post for 2009. Hope everyone a happy new year... be healthy...

Macau, HongKong, ShenZhen, GuangZhou, ZhuHai Trip.....

I went to Macau, HongKong, ShenZhen, GuangZhou, ZhuHai from 21st Dec - 28th Dec 2008 for a family vacation. We join the Bel-Air tour. It was quite fun but just some obstacles make the trip not very successful. But overall still great.

On the 1st day, we just spend our time on transportations. We started from Kuching at about 9am n reach KL at about 12pm. Then we have our meal near LCCT. At about 2pm we check in our things and get our boarding pass. It was very hot in the terminal just like no air-con at all. We start to go to Macau about 3pm and we reach there about 8pm. We are quite staving. After leaving the Macau airport, we staight go to have our dinner opposite the airport. The meal is not special at all. After dinner, we go to our hotel. Our hotel was quite nice. It had a casino in it. There were many romians' statue in there. It was quite beautiful. That night there were no programs, so my dad decided to take a taxi and go to city for a ride. The city was fanstastic with all the lightings. The design of the buildings were very nice too. After that, we went back to hotel and sleep.

On the 2nd day, morning is free, no programs. We went to have a look in the casino of our hotel. We still play the Tiger Machine 'Lao Hu Ji'. It is very hard to kena wan ah. We still have a walk at the nearby street to see any shopping area near our hotel. We found out that Macau University was just near our hotel. So we went to have a look too. When noon time came, we check out and have our lunch near the city. It was a buffet meal. It was buffet but not much things to eat. Then, we went to a 'Wei Ni Shi Jia Shi'. It is a shopping centre + Casino + Hotel. It was very beautiful in there. The shopping centre is very nice. It was like u were outside and the shoplot was one building because the ceiling was painted sky image. The sky was very real. After walking in there for 2 hours, we left there and go to the jetty to go to HongKong. Many people vomited due to the wave was very big. I nearly vomit also. We sat on the bus to go to our hotel near Kowloon. it take about half an hour journey. During the journey, we saw many tall and beautiful buildings. When we went in into the hotel room, it was totally disappointed. The hotel room was very very small and the toilet wall was transparent. After that, we went to have a walk to Ladies Street 'Nu Ren Jie' to have a walk. Then we sat the underground train back to our hotel.

On the 3rd day, we went to Disneyland the whole day and it was quite fun. We went back to hotel at 9 something. At night, my dad still bring us to Kowloon Riverside to take photo on the night view of HongKong at 'Zhong Huan'. The view was very very nice. After that, we go back to rest.

On the 4th day, we also went to the famous place around HongKong. We also went some shopping street to buy clothes too. There were many foods to eat too. We went to the beach 'Qian Shui Wang', the rich people's house, the temple near the beach, the hill top, 'Xing Guang Da Dao'..... etc. In the afternoon, we 'take off' and go to Shen Zhen. Before entering Shen Zhen, we were stucked at the imgression department and we could go to Shen Zhen because our 'Dao You' was not there to fetch us. We had to wait for 1 hour until our 'Dao You' reached then we could go in. It was quite a waste of time. That night, after our dinner then we went out for a walk then we went back to hotel and rest.

On the 5th day, we also go around ShenZhen city. We went to see the pond which had many 'Hou Niao' there. It was quite beautiful there. Then we went to a shopping street. After that we had our lunch and we went to tiny world to see all the famous place of China. There were some stageshow too. We played around there until 9pm then we went back to hotel to rest.

On the 6th day, in the morning, we went to see the place 'Ya Pian' was burnt in the past. It was all about the hero who disagree Chinaman to continue on this unhealthy activity. After that we go for our lunch and we still visit a place and we start to go to GuangZhou. When we reached GuangZhou, we also visited some place which was quite boring. After dinner, we went to shopping again. After that, we went back to hotel. Me and my sister follow some of the tour members for supper nearby. After that, we went back to sleep.

On the 7th day, in the morning, we went to visit Dr. Sun Zhong San's old house and his museum also. After that we went for shopping in a very small Botique shop. We were on our way to ZhuHai. When we reached ZhuHai, we visited the God and Goddess of love. We rided on the cable car up to the mountain and sit the roller coaster down. It was quite fun. We also visited the silk factory. It was very expensive. After we had our dinner, we went back to our hotel to pack our things for leaving tomorrow. Me and my sister still went out with some of the tour member and we bought some foods and drinks to eat in the hotel room. We still played around there. It was quite fun. After that, we went back and sleep.

On the last day, we ate our breakfast then we started to rush to the airport due to the time frame is quite short but we still make it. It was quite fun and i know many new friends.

19th Kuching District Camp held at SMK Santubong from 11-15 December 2008... approximately 350 ppl joined in this camp... There were about 200 participants from the whole Kuching district and also scouts from West Malaysia.... It was quite fun in these 5 days 4 nights camp... The activities were fun... There were station games, obstacles, backwood cooking, jungle trekking, pioneering project, model making, gangshow and many more... The camp was fanstastic and everyone enjoy it as the motto was achieved. "CAMPING IS FUN"
